Grow in Christ - Proclaim the Word - Serve Others

About

What Is Our Mission?

(GPS) St. Luke United Methodist Church is a community of faith that is GROWING in Christ, PROCLAIMING the Word and making disciples as we SERVE others.
What is Our Vision?
At St. Luke UMC we are growing in Christ by studying God's Word and it's meaning for us both as individuals and as a church in Columbia, TN.  With increasing understanding we reach beyond our doors and proclaim the Word to make disciples as Christ has commanded us.  We believe, as Scripture tells us, that "faith without works is dead."  Therefore, we go into the world to serve others.  As in Christ there are no boundaries, we seek to embrace people of all ages and stations.  We continually evaluate our path, reflecting on where we have been and noting where we need to go, looking for God's guidance and the Spirit's leading in each step.
Who Is Our Pastor?

Pastor Don Terry is a licensed local pastor on the path toward ordination as an Elder in The United Methodist Church. He is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible School and Western Kentucky University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and is currently an MDiv student at Asbury Theological Seminary.

Pastor Don has over thirty years of ministry and administrative experience, including short-term missions to Brazil, India, and Romania. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, singing, playing the guitar and kayaking.

He is married to Stephanie, a former church office administrator, who now administrates their household, supports Don’s ministry, and assists with visitations and counseling. Pastor Don also has two adult sons, Logan and Silas and a dog named, Annie.
