Grow in Christ - Proclaim the Word - Serve Others

Mission: (GPS)  St. Luke United Methodist Church is a community of faith that is GROWING in Christ, PROCLAIMING the Word and making disciples as we SERVE others.
Focus on Scripture

Grow - 2 Peter 3:18  But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Proclaim - Acts 4:20 As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard

Serve - Matthew 25:40 The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me

We invite all to continue to remember your vows to serve with your time, talents, and resources. We need liturgists to read Scripture, children’s sermon leaders, ushers, prayer warriors, communion servers, people to keep the pews in order and to run the sound, singers, instrumentalists, acolytes, greeters and more.  It takes all of these to keep a church healthy.

If you have yet to join as a member, we still invite you serve. We would also love to see you join. If you have yet to be baptized, don’t put it off any longer.

Finally, we have many committees that work together to keep the church running smoothly. If you would like to join one of these teams, please note that in the “other ways” you can serve section. Here are the committees and briefly what they do. Most meet quarterly on Wednesday nights, except for Missions that meets quarterly on Sunday mornings.

Finance: Helps keep the church on track financially and plans the budget.

Staff Parish Relations: Advises the pastor regarding administrative and pastoral duties. They are also liaisons between the pastor and congregation.

Children & Family: This team envisions and plans for children and family activities.

Worship: Helps decorate, plan and coordinate for worship services.

Nominations: Nominates new members to serve on the various committees of the church.

Missions: Envisions and plans for special missions for the congregation and for outreach.

God bless you as you continue to serve God and St. Luke United Methodist Church.
